Hi, I'm Ella — warm, endlessly patient with little ones, and so glad you're here.

I’m Ella, the photographer behind the camera and, just as often, the one crouched on the floor making your toddler giggle. People tell me I’m warm and easy to be around — the word my families come back to most is trusting, and I hold onto that as the highest compliment I could be given. I genuinely love kids; I’m a mom to one wonderfully spirited little girl of my own, so a wobbly newborn, a shy three-year-old, or a big sibling who would rather be anywhere else feels like home to me, not a problem to manage.

Ella Shirazi Photography is my one-person studio in Burnaby, BC. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, and family portraiture, with occasional cake-smash and Christmas-mini sessions through the year, shot in-studio or on location across Greater Vancouver.

Approach

The studio aesthetic leans warm, neutral, and quiet — closer to a gallery print than a social-media post. Every session is shaped around the people in front of the camera: a partner who needs encouragement, a toddler who hates posing, a newborn who wakes every twenty minutes. The plan flexes; the goal — a few images you’ll actually print — does not.

Process

1. Inquiry. Tell Ella about your session via the contact form, by phone, or by email. Ella replies personally; you’ll hear from her directly, not an assistant.
2. Phone consultation. A relaxed call to talk through what you’re picturing, answer questions, and make sure Ella’s the right fit for your family — all before anything is booked.
3. Plan. Pick a package and a date. We talk through wardrobe, props, and any specifics — sibling-rivalry mitigation, a partner who hates being photographed, a due date that’s flexible.
4. Session. In-studio or on location. Most sessions run 30–90 minutes, longer for ultimate packages.
5. Selection. A preview of selects within two to four weeks. You choose your favourites; Ella does the final edits.
6. Delivery. Edited images in a private gallery; prints and physical products available on request.
